We put the Human in "Be Human"
For those of you who are quite familiar with the world of SIX Marketing, or if this is your first time visiting -- "Be Human" is one of our core values here at SIX. And in an effort to display this, we are pulling back the curtain to introduce you to the humans behind SIX.
Today, we'd like to introduce you to another member of Team SIX -- Leah Parillo!
Who are you? And what is your job at SIX?
So far (2 days in as I type this), a day at SIX is very varied (vary varied?). From sales calls to client calls to putting together proposals, every day so far has brought something new; and I like it that way.
What are your hobbies?
Not sure if these qualify as hobbies but, I enjoy spending time with my children and loved ones, singing and pretending to know how to play the piano, working out, cooking (which negates the working out) and being outside; especially in the sun but don't tell my dermatologist.
What is something when you tell someone they are shocked to know about you?
I am a jingle singer and have a furniture commercial on local television - usually comes on during the Price is Right (don't ask how I know this). I have also performed in a full stadium and received a standing ovation (maybe because I was done singing or maybe because it was that good - either way...); one of my life highlights. I do a mean monkey impression and I can impersonate many other animals (I did not do this in the full stadium).
What is your favorite part about your job?
I would say, the people first - so nice and open to new ideas. And, the variety (see above). I also love what I do because it's like solving a puzzle each day.
What is your greatest challenge at your job?
Hmmm, I was telling someone today that marketing is so dynamic. Just when you think you have a strategy down, something changes.
Why is this a challenge and what do you do to overcome it?
At SIX, professional development is important so I will have the time to hone my acumen and then apply it to the puzzles to help grow both professionally and the business.
