We put the Human in "Be Human."
For those of you who are quite familiar with the world of SIX Marketing, or if this is your first time visiting — "Be Human" is one of our core values. To spotlight this, we're pulling back the curtain to introduce you to the humans behind SIX.
Today, we do something we've never done before - a sequel to one of our SIX Spotlights. Why? Because the subject of our blog went from being an Innovative Intern to a Junior Marketing Strategist. So, without further ado - the journey of Kyleigh Cohan.
Who are you, and what is your job at SIX?
Kyleigh Cohan, and I'm a Junior Marketing Strategist here at SIX.
When did you start at SIX? And how did you get here?
I started as an intern in March, and after my internship ended, SIX hired me to stay on the team.
What is a day in your life at SIX like? Does it vary? If yes, how so?
Yes, every day at SIX is different, which is one of the things I really like about working here. Every day and week can change depending on what's going on with each client and what they need to have done. I typically work on the content side of things.
What are your hobbies?
I love to ski in the winter; I've been skiing since I could walk. I also love to ride and show horses and have done so since I was seven. I was on the equestrian team at
Siena and continue to ride.
What is something when you tell someone they're shocked to learn about you?
I am obsessed with Italy. I love the language, the culture, and the country. I spend a lot of time learning about Italy and what parts I want to spend time in. I want to spend as much time there as possible. In my free time, I'm trying to learn Italian, but this has been a very slow process.
What is your favorite part about your job?
I love that I get to have a voice and that my opinions are not only heard but appreciated.
What is your greatest challenge at your job?
Juggling work, school, and life was a challenge, but I got better at it every day.
Why is this a challenge, and what do you do to overcome it?
I graduated from school in August, so there were a lot of responsibilities to manage for both work and school. The key was just managing a schedule and being able to prioritize items correctly.
If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Any
Taylor Swift album. I am so inspired by her as a person, her work ethic, and the stories she has to tell. Each album represents a different era, and there's always one to listen to, depending on my mood. I have so much respect for her as an artist and as a human.
What is the last show you binge-watched?
I love to rewatch
New Girl on a very regular basis. I usually put it on every night to sleep, so New Girl would easily be in my top 5 favorite shows.
